We are seeking a passionate and skilled Pet Groomer to join our team. As a Pet Groomer, you will play a vital role in ensuring the health and well-being of our furry clients while providing exceptional customer service to their owners. This position requires a love for animals, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Perform grooming services for various breeds of dogs and other pets, including bathing, clipping, and styling fur.
- Maintain a clean and organized grooming area, ensuring all tools and equipment are sanitized after each use.
- Assess the condition of pets' coats and skin, providing recommendations for care as needed.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners about grooming services, pet behavior, and any concerns regarding their pets’ health.
- Handle pets safely and gently during grooming sessions to ensure their comfort and safety.
- Assist with heavy lifting when handling larger breeds or multiple pets.
- Collaborate with team members to provide excellent pet care and customer service.
Experience
- Previous experience in pet grooming is required; training may be available for the right candidate.
- Strong customer service skills to foster positive relationships with pet owners.
- Experience as a veterinary technician, veterinary assistant, or in pet care roles such as pet sitting or kennel work is advantageous.
- Familiarity with dog handling techniques and knowledge of various breeds is beneficial.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as needed when managing larger animals or equipment.
