What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fuel Attendant position at PV TRANSPORT INC?
We are seeking a dedicated Fuel Technician to support our operations by ensuring all tractors, trailers, and off-road equipment are fueled and maintained after daily use. This role is essential in keeping our fleet running efficiently and safely.
Key Responsibilities:
Fuel tractors, trailers, and off-road equipment as needed.
Record mileage, track oil consumption, and report any discrepancies to the Supervisor.
Lift up to 100 pounds and pull a 75-foot fuel hose as required.
Perform routine inspections of belts, hoses, tires, and lights for visible damage.
Maintain the fuel island, ensuring cleanliness and proper stocking of supplies, filters, and absorbent materials; notify the Inventory Specialist of needed supplies.
Keep fuel levels in trailers topped off each night.
Report dirty or damaged vehicles to Supervisors as needed.
Perform other duties as assigned by the Supervisor.
Maintain the fuel truck, including monitoring vital fluids (oil, coolant, fuel) and dipping the main dispensing tank.
Overtime is required on an as-needed basis.
Qualifications:
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and maneuvering heavy equipment.
Strong attention to detail and ability to follow procedures.
Willingness to work flexible hours and mandatory overtime when needed.
Prior experience in a similar role is a plus.
