We are excited to announce that we are looking for a Field Clinical Engineer to join our team of over 10,000 global field representatives in several regions making over 20 million product details annually for our pharmaceutical and biotech clients.
The main responsibilities will encompass, but will not be limited to:
PIERRE Study (Clinical Development Support)
- FCE facilitates bi-directional clinical site and sponsor communications to assist with the delivery of the “PIERRE Study” within the appropriate timelines and resources.
- Engage and support HCPs and stakeholders within the clinical sites through the provision of technical product training on optimal use of the Product in the trial setting.
- Support trial sites and CRAs with implementation of study protocols, case planning, case support, assist site in pertinent data collection guidance (as applicable), for HCPs during patient procedures and in patient follow-ups.
- Collect insights and learnings for ongoing product development.
- Liaise with trial sites, HCPs and stakeholders per agreed call lists and activity KPIs.
- Build and maintain relationships with HCPs participating in the “PIERRE Study” or a Post Market Clinical Launch initiative.
- Record all activities accurately in CRM and provide monthly field reports to IPD for consolidation and dissemination to Alcyone Project Manager as appropriate
Peri/Post Market Study Launch (Clinical Specialist launch support – Market Access)
- Develop an expert knowledge of the device/portfolio and other possible devices related to them
- Complete ThecaFlex DRx training program including at least one trip to Alcyone U.S. office for in person training.
- Map out the key account (hospitals) and key reference centers for engagement
- Drive general education and awareness programs via F2F and remote engagement channels (hybrid approach) to develop target HCPs within key accounts as advocates/users of the Thecaflex device/drug delivery portfolio
- Responsible for setting up evaluations in high priority accounts (reference hospitals) with target KOLs and clinicians
- Responsible for providing the physician with case planning and case support during procedures – be there in theatre/suite to support and proctor the HCP
- Daily contact with the Alcyone SC planning and CS center, to ensure availability of product for evaluation and commercialization
- Assure that all new or updated product information is distributed to and understood by the customers and team
- Participation at relevant local and international exhibitions, meetings and lectures forwarding relevant information to divisional team Alcyone/Biogen
- Provide written reports to the Alcyone commercial team via the International Project Director (IPD)

- Work closely and effectively with the other members of the Alcyone/Biogen clinical team and with support functions in order to provide the best possible service to the customer and the patient.
Skills required
- Relevant experience in clinical support desirable
- Experience with pediatric patient population desirable
- Knowledge of relevant clinical procedures desirable, such as Baclofen pumps, pain pumps or spinal cord stimulators
- Experience working in neuro-spine space desirable
- Ability to interpret clinical data
- Very good communication and inter-personal skills
- High level of self-motivation
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft® Office
- Language Skills – good written and verbal command of English and other relevant languages
- Proven problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent networking and communication skills
- Excellent numeric skills
- Availability and willingness to travel extensively on Alcyone study work and launch (frequency to be confirmed)
- Current driving license
Qualifications and experience:
- Bachelor or Master’s degree with a Biotechnical, Biomedical, Scientific Degree or Nursing qualification covering interventional med device (Operating room, Radiology, Cath lab etc.)
- English, German, French, Spanish depending on the country/region coverage required
- Be computer/technically savvy
- Hold a current driving license

The potential base pay range for this role is $160,000-$180,000 annually. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.Salary : $160,000 - $180,000
