Staff Scientist / Environmental Technician II

Job Summary: The Environmental Technician III works independently on field projects, completes all field tasks, including mobilization, sampling materials in the field, documentation of field procedures, and any related tasks in support of field efforts. In addition, this individual will assist Senior Technical Staff with environmental compliance assessments, NPDES permitting, waste management reporting, and related services. The Environmental Technician III professionally prepares documents (figures, tables, text, email correspondence, etc.) to describe and/or present results of field investigations.
Responsibilities:
Assists with tasks related to the following:
Bachelor’s Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene/Safety or applicable degree program.
Experience:
Minimum 3 years’ experience in projects related to Stormwater permitting (NPDES/SWPP), Spill prevention Controls and Countermeasure plans (SPCC) and Facility Compliance Audits

Responsibilities:
Assists with tasks related to the following:
- Planning and executing environmental site characterization/investigation, remediation, and compliance tasks.
- Conducts fieldwork including but not limited to Phase I and II ESA, UST investigations, Act 2 program sites, with emphasis on sample collection, sample delivery, document sampling procedures.
- Receives and reviews analytical data, assemble tables, figures (with assistance from staff GIS and AutoCAD Technicians).
- Prepares conclusions and recommendations in written and verbal form.
- Works with Project Manager on research related project.
