Summer 2025 Internship Details :

Program dates : June 2 to August 8

10-week program with 35-hour work week

Hybrid, onsite work schedule : Tues, Wed & Thurs in office

Internship location in NYC

Compensation : $22 / hr a $2500 stipend

Applicants must be able to commit to full-time hours and the entire length of the program.

Applicants must be undergraduates and / or those actively enrolled in a specialized / technical certification program

What to Expect and important dates to keep in mind :

Required : Initial screening conducted by our recruiting team virtually

Final interviews conducted by our hiring teams virtually beginning late February into early March

Internship offers will be extended by the recruitment team at the end of March into early April

Job Title : Intern, Men’s Design Team, Underwear

Job summary

Calvin Klein Mainline Apparel is looking for a menswear design summer intern. This role will be under the mentorship of the Senior outerwear Designer.

The intern will assist with market research for Close to Body Men’s, specifically Men’s Sport. The intern will help build digital and physical presentation boards, organize fabrics and samples, sketch flat CADs, and build tech packs. There will be opportunities to work with different category divisions of the men’s team : Lounge, Swim, Underwear.

Your primary responsibilities will include :

Research for each category division as needed

Build presentation boards in Miro

Update sketches in Illustrator

Assist with Centric PLM tech pack updates.

Attend fittings and record notes clearly and carefully.

Organize and maintain protos and design samples.

Assist collective men’s design team with additional daily needs.

Education

Rising junior or senior undergraduate student preferred, pursuing a Fashion Design BFA, AAS or other related field with intention to work in Fashion Design upon graduating

Minimum 3.0 GPA in core major classes preferred

Must be authorized to work in the U.S.

Experience / Skills

Previous relevant internship / work experience or proven curiosity about the industry

Proven academic leadership or extra-curricular activity preferred

Proficiency in Adobe Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.), CAD; experience in any PLM system is a plus but not necessary.

Excellent analytical skills with an emphasis on data analysis

Well organized, detail oriented, strong written and oral communication skills

Forward thinking, able to problem solve; self-starter with strong ability to meet deadlines and expectations

Great teammate with an eagerness to learn and adapt to a fast-paced environment working across multiple teams
