Job Description: Studio Manager / Trainer

What is the role? The Studio Manager position has responsibilities across staffing, sales, marketing, member retention referrals, retail and administration. The Trainer position is responsible for delivering effective, energizing, and creative classes in line with the Pvolve Method. The trainer will be a dynamic, high-energy, and commanding instructor, who is ready to be part of a fast-paced, rapidly growing company. This position requires teaching experience, a team-player attitude, and a passion for delivering outstanding class experiences after completing the Pvolve certification program.
Primary Responsibilities:
- **NINETY PERCENT OF THE STUDIO MANAGER’S TIME SHOULD BE SPENT ON THE MEMBERSHIP SALES & RETENTION PROCESS.**
- Achieve monthly revenue targets through implementation of Pvolve’s sales process designed to preserve monthly membership draft
- Preserve product mix and established monthly rates; collect any outstanding dues
- Implement member retention strategies to increase loyalty and drive member referrals
- Self-generate leads via grassroots marketing, partnerships, and member referrals
- Schedule and participate in local networking and community events
- Recruit, train, schedule and supervise sales staff
- Assist with management of trainers
- Evaluate performance of sales staff and instruct on methods of improvement
- Coordinate with retail vendors to ensure retail product is stocked and merchandised to brand standards
- Enforce all policies and procedures
- Maintain studio cleanliness and organization
- Manage inventory and organization of all administrative supplies and forms
- Deliver daily results recap
- Any other duties as assigned by owner
- Teach a minimum of 6 - 8 classes weekly.
- Successfully complete our 100-hour immersive training program to deliver on all components of the Pvolve class experience.
- Greet clients before class, assess the needs of class participants, and personalize class to each member needs.
- Ability to provide modifications and challenges to create an all-level class experience.
- Point of contact post class, advising clients on frequency, class packages, our program offerings, and any other questions/concerns
- Build Pvolve attendance and hit retention and utilization goals.
- Ensure safety and proper movement execution.
- Attend trainer meetings as part of ongoing development.
- Grow brand awareness through events, social media, and other marketing initiatives.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of retail, service, or fitness or membership sales experience
- Target-driven with a proven track record in achieving sales quotas
- Adept in self-generating leads via community events, partnerships, and member referrals
- Fluent in English with excellent communication skills in-person, via phone and email
- Passionate about fitness
- Highly organized; able to prioritize and meet deadlines
- Professional, trustworthy, and punctual
- Proficient with client management software
- Ability to manage and drive multiple revenue streams including memberships and retail
- Ability to work a flexible schedule with night and evening availability
- Previous management or supervisory experience required
- Professional, punctual, reliable, and neat and organized
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Trustworthy and ability to handle confidential information
- Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers, clients, and the general public
- A dynamic, high-energy personality
- A love for fitness, health, and wellness
- 2 years group fitness experience (Preferably in the Pilates, Barre, Dance or other mind-body class formats)
- A deep understanding of anatomy and proper movement execution
- Comfortable on a mic leading a fast-paced class with loud music and lots of energy in the room.
- A high-energy, charismatic teaching style with the ability to coach to various fitness levels.
- An ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude where everyone pitches in to grow the bottom line.
- A growth mindset with the ability to both receive and give feedback, seeking constant growth and development within our feedback culture.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Ability to multi-task and stay organized.

- Availability to work early mornings, evenings and weekends.
- Current trainer certification from accredited certifying bodies, with preference for one of the following NASM, ACE, or AFAA. Specialty certifications are a plus!
- Bachelor’s degree in an exercise related field a plus
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
