Warehouse Administrative Clerk - West Bridgewater, MA
Job Summary:
The Warehouse Administrative Clerk will report to the Warehouse Manager and will be responsible for many day-to-day administrative tasks. Duties will include:
Job Description:
- Scan documents and ensure branch records are maintained in accordance with Company policy.
- Greet visitors and answer any incoming phone calls.
- Accepts and signs for packages as they arrive and route to appropriate personnel.
- Open and route incoming mail to the appropriate person and prepare outgoing mail.
- Ensure appropriate office supplies are on hand.
- Ensure office equipment is operational and notify appropriate parties when attention is needed.
- Coordinate with HR to ensure Company bulletin boards are up-to-date and contain all required postings.
- Process bill of ladings for shipment
- Communicate with other departments via email/phone regarding customer orders/request
- Other duties as assigned.
- Regular and reliable attendance is an essential function of this job due to its in-person work requirement.
- You must have access to reliable transportation to and from work, whether that be public transportation or a personal vehicle. This is a critical element for the role with which you are applying.
Demonstrated Skill in:
- Preparing and maintaining records.
- Preparing reports.
- Handling multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Utilizing computer technology used for communication, data gathering and reporting.
- Using Microsoft Office including Excel.
- Communicating effectively through oral and written mediums.
Qualifications and Essential Functions:
1 years of experience in clerical work preferred. Bi-lingual (Spanish and English) a plus.
Job functions require long periods of sitting and working from computer workstation; ability to multi-task, problem solve, and prioritize daily workload; excellent organization and record keeping skills; comfortable with oral and written communications. Requires extended periods of sitting, normal walking, bending, twisting, and stretching. Capability of sight and hearing required. Ability to deal with stressful situations and occasionally working extended hours. To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. What is it like at a Priority Wire and Cable Warehouse?
- Safety - Your safety is important to us, so we provide all employee’s with proper PPE to complete the task at hand. Monthly meetings held to review safety protocols and additional topics.
- Surroundings - You will be working around moving machines – order pickers, forklifts, and heavy reels
- Activity - Some activities may require standing and cutting wire in one place for long periods of time, pushing heaving reels to machines and getting dirty while working
- Temperature - Non-climate controlled warehouse environment. On hot day temperatures can reach up to 90°F in some parts of the warehouse and over 90°F in the truck trailers and containers.
- Noise Level - It can get noisy at times. We provide hearing protective gear if needed.
- Dress code - Relaxed with a few rules to follow for safety. ASTM F2413 approved safety footwear is required. We offer an annual voucher up to 125.00 for safety footwear. Company shirts are provided after the first 90 days.
Requirements:
- Candidates must be 18 years or older with the ability to understand and adhere to all job requirements and safety guidelines.
- Previous Wire & Cable experience is a plus
