We are seeking to add a Design Architect to our growing and talented Design-Build Company. Studio 109 Designs, LLC is PWCampbell's full-service, in-house architecture and design division. This position requires the individual to be design driven, construction minded, a strong communicator, and detail focused.
Objectives of this Role
Responsible for designing and developing a variety of building types in different markets, but mainly design work related to financial institutions, to fulfill client expectations, considering their functional requirements and adhering to legal and regulatory standards of the project site.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for client programming, concept development, site planning, building design, and preliminary interior design.
- Work hand in hand with our internal branded environments team, technology team, and furniture designer to ensure an overall cohesive and coordinated design.
- Responsible for internal communication with our land development team, preconstruction team, and project executives
- Create 3D digital models for project design development
- Identify project requirements to ensure accurate functionality of drawings
- Have a basic understanding of project construction costs to develop designs that stay within the client's budget
- Responsible for organizing and facilitating project design presentation meetings and ensuring stakeholders are informed of design progress
- Conduct site visits to evaluate existing conditions for renovation projects
- Oversee and provide direction to project architects during construction document production phase.
- Responsible for addressing Requests for Information (RFIs) from Project Managers during construction
- Collaborate with external consultants including site / civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing
- Specify the materials utilized within the building, including, doors, lighting, and other components
- Conduct thorough site inspections to identify potential flaws prior to the design phase
- Develop designs, present and promote them effectively, and prioritize the client's best interests throughout the process
- Conduct Quality Control / Quality Assurance reviews to ensure compliance with life safety standards and assess constructability
- Must have strong understanding of building codes and the ability to research and implement zoning requirements as related to specific project types
- May perform other duties as assigned
