This position is pivotal in ensuring the highest standards of fire and life safety are met by conducting thorough building fire alarm inspections, testing devices, and generating precise reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform timely and accurate inspections, thoroughly testing fire alarm control panels, devices, and functions.
- Enter test results into the Palm handheld device, and download information to generate completed Fire Alarm Inspection Reports.
- Participate in monthly team meetings to foster a collaborative environment.
- Complete additional duties assigned by management to ensure seamless operations.
Requirements:
- A college degree is preferred, but a high school diploma or equivalent with relevant experience is also acceptable.
- Stay current with NFPA standards, industry changes, and obtain NICET certifications to demonstrate expertise.
- Exhibit exceptional written and oral communication skills, as well as customer service orientation.
- Be able to work effectively within a team environment and demonstrate adaptability.
- Proficiency in using test equipment, including sensitivity test equipment, multi-meters, battery analyzers, sound level meters, and communicating devices.
- Develop strong networking PC skills, including Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, and Palm unit operating systems.
- Reliable transportation to and from the office or job site is essential.
- Must be punctual, with attention to scheduling sound tests before tenant arrivals.

Physical Demands:
- Work in industrial, commercial, and residential environments with moderate to high noise levels.
