The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the operation and maintenance of our fire sprinkler systems. This role entails inspecting, testing, and performing system checks to ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards. The foreman will also be responsible for identifying system deficiencies and preparing accurate and timely inspection reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Routine Preventative Maintenance: Inspect and test fire sprinkler systems to ensure they are functioning properly.
- Service and Inspections: Perform regular service and inspections on wet, dry, and pre-action systems.
- Equipment Repair and Replacement: Inspect, maintain, repair, or replace fire sprinkler equipment and systems in accordance with applicable codes and standards.
- Customer Interaction: Provide excellent customer service by interacting with clients in a professional and mature manner.
- Technical Assistance: Offer advanced technical assistance to team members and customers as needed.
- Trade Skills Training: Teach trade skills to advancing apprentices/helpers.
- Reporting and Documentation: Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting any issues and report results of work completed in an accurate and timely manner.
- Company Equipment Maintenance: Protect and maintain company equipment, including warehouse equipment and vehicles.
- Emergency Response: Respond to emergency service calls.
- Workplace Safety: Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to company safety procedures and regulations.
- Other Duties: Perform other duties assigned by management.
Required Qualifications:
- Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience with fire sprinkler systems.
- Knowledge: Advanced working knowledge of NFPA 13 and NFPA 25.
- Skills: Skilled operation of sprinkler trade equipment, troubleshooting skills, and ability to work in a team environment.
- Interpersonal Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with clients and team members.
- Driver's License: Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
- Scheduling Flexibility: Ability to work flexible scheduling requirements, including evening, weekend, and out-of-town assignments.
- Lead Capacity: Ability to act in a lead capacity.
