Job Summary
As a Fire Sprinkler Pipe Fitter at Pye-Barker Fire & Safety, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safety of people and properties. This position involves installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting various piping systems to prevent accidents and reduce risks.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Planning, preparing, and installing piping systems composed of different materials.
- Collaborating with management to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation to minimize disruptions to operations.
- Inspecting pipes for pressure and leaks, reporting or resolving issues.
- Complying with applicable safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Maintaining accurate records of safety logs and inspection details.
- Performing other duties assigned by management.
Requirements
To excel in this role, you should have:
- A High School Diploma or equivalent, with any vocational training being highly desirable.
- Proven experience as a Fire Sprinkler Pipe Fitter, with a minimum of two years of experience.
- Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints, and use a variety of tools, including blowtorches, saws, pipe benders, and welding torches.
