Job Summary:
As a Case Manager for the Employment Program at Schuyler Inn Family Homeless Shelter, you
will play a vital role in assisting individuals and families experiencing homelessness in achieving
self-sufficiency through employment. This position involves providing comprehensive case
management services, facilitating access to employment resources, and empowering clients to
overcome barriers to employment.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas
- clearly and effectively
- Basic PC skills, including familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database
- entry software
- Demonstrated competence in case management, including the ability to develop and
- implement individualized plans to support clients' needs
- Experience collaborating with local social service providers to access resources and
- support for clients.
- Bilingual capability preferred, with proficiency in [Languages]. Ability to effectively
- communicate and assist clients who may require language support.
- Education and Experience:
- Associate’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Sociology, or a related field
- preferred
- In lieu of a degree, a minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a related field
- will be considered
- Travel within the Capital District area is required
- Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are necessary. Mileage will be reimbursed
- Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
