abuse treatment services, vocational, educational and employment training programs,

Job Summary:

As a Case Manager for the Employment Program at Schuyler Inn Family Homeless Shelter, you

will play a vital role in assisting individuals and families experiencing homelessness in achieving

self-sufficiency through employment. This position involves providing comprehensive case

management services, facilitating access to employment resources, and empowering clients to

overcome barriers to employment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Proficient written and verbal communication skills with the ability to articulate ideas
• clearly and effectively
• Basic PC skills, including familiarity with word processing, spreadsheet, and database
• entry software
• Demonstrated competence in case management, including the ability to develop and
• implement individualized plans to support clients' needs
• Experience collaborating with local social service providers to access resources and
• support for clients.
• Bilingual capability preferred, with proficiency in [Languages]. Ability to effectively
• communicate and assist clients who may require language support.
• Education and Experience:
• Associate’s Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Sociology, or a related field
• preferred
• In lieu of a degree, a minimum of five (5) years of experience working in a related field
• will be considered
• Travel within the Capital District area is required
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle are necessary. Mileage will be reimbursed
• Physical Requirements:
• Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times
