Summary
We are seeking a dedicated Concrete Laborer to join our team at Pyramid Construction, Inc. This role is essential for assisting with concrete-related tasks on various construction projects. The ideal candidate will contribute to our mission of delivering high-quality work while maintaining safety and efficiency on the job site.
Position Requirements:
- Preferably: Applicants have 10 years of experience in construction.
- Must be Knowledgeable of City of Colorado Springs, County and State specs.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and elevations.
- Evaluating job priorities and assigning employees to correct job tasks.
- Proficient in math skills.
- Oversee and manages the work of concrete construction crews.
- Conduct pre-cast concrete pours and concrete formwork installation.
- Maintain and update spatial drawings, quantities, and material schedules.
- Giving clear instructions to crew members as to what needs to be done to avoid mistakes or rework.
- Create, maintain, and administer concrete work scopes, including those involving reinforced concrete, precast concrete elements, structural concrete, concrete forming, and concrete finishing.
- Maintain and update project procedures, material specifications, and quality control plans, and issue concrete work orders.
- Manage concrete work crews, coordinating with architects, engineers, and other specialists.
- Assist with concrete testing and batching of concrete.
- Conduct and/or oversee concrete finishing.
- Construct and/or oversee concrete cut-off forms, including forming and bracing.
- Own, maintain and have in possession, personal tools always.
- Ability to work in various weather conditions.
- Knowledge of safety standards pertaining to the construction field.
- During peak season, ability to work overtime and weekends.
- Always follow the dress code and compliance with proper PPE.
- Maintain regular and punctual attendance.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is a plus.
- Experience in people management and record keeping.
- Cooperate with owners, clients, managers, subcontractors, and employees and maintain a positive working relationship.
- Ensure projects are completed on schedule, within budget and meet quality standards.
- Proof of right to work in the US.
- Must have a valid driver’s license and clean motor vehicle record to drive company vehicles.
- Must be a hard worker and a team player.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
Physical Requirements:
- Body Position: Must be able to sit, stand, and walk for extensive periods of time.
- Body Movement: Must be able to stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl and make full use of hands, fingers, and arms. Ability to occasionally lift moderate to heavy loads.
- Vision: Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus rapidly.
