Position Overview:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimating and Project Management Assistant to join our dynamic team! This role is crucial as you will assist with competitive bids, prepare essential material submittals, and manage subcontractor task orders across a variety of projects, including private, municipal, state, and federal work. Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation of cost estimates, proposals, and budgets for various projects.
- Engage with vendors and subcontractors to obtain quotes, submissions, and necessary information.
- Prepare and submit essential documentation for construction projects at the local, state, and federal levels.
- Submit permit applications and monitor the status of active permits required by various agencies.
- Perform general administrative duties, including scheduling, organizing documents, supporting projects, and managing email correspondence.
- Review project plans and specifications to comprehend their scope and requirements.
- Help generate estimates using estimating software and spreadsheets.
- Ensure open communication with team members and stakeholders regarding estimates and project needs.
- Contribute to effective team meetings by sharing insights and providing updates.
Qualifications:
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, Outlook, and others.
- Strong analytical abilities with a keen attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills to ensure project deadlines are met.
- Effective written and verbal communication capabilities.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team setting.
- Familiarity with Bid 2 Win Estimating and Track Software is a plus but not required.
- Experience with Computer Ease Construction Software is beneficial but not essential.
- Consistent and punctual attendance is required.

- Candidates must be a minimum of 18 years of age.
Physical Requirements:
- Body Position: Extended periods of sitting are typical.
- Body Movement: Minimal heavy lifting; occasional exertion of up to 10 lbs. good manual dexterity is required for using office equipment such as computers, calculators, copiers, and fax machines.
- Vision: Must possess specific vision abilities, including close and distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to quickly adjust focus.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 30 – 60 per week
