Assistant Buyer

Our client, a luxury fashion group, is hiring an Assistant Buyer to join their team in NYC on a hybrid schedule (3 days in office).

Job Duties Include:

• Assist with making product assortments and seasonal plans based on needs, sales, trends, and ad campaigns
• Work with team to develop buy plans to achieve sales, margin, and inventory objectives
• Analyze sales trends to support during buying campaigns and throughout the season to drive sales and inform purchasing decisions
• Distribute weekly selling reports and ad-hoc monthly recaps as needed
• Monitor sales performance to identify trends
• Provide operational and administrative support as needed including creating presentations, scheduling meetings, and compiling product information
• Collaborate with relevant teams to ensure timely delivery of merchandise
• Schedule feedback touchpoints to ensure merchandise supply meets demand and necessary feedback is addressed
• Create training calendar and schedule trainings
• Educate sales on upcoming collections
• Communicate merchandising strategies based on buy, sell-through expectations, trends, etc.
• Conduct market research and analysis to identify relevant trends
  
  

Job Qualifications Include:

• Bachelor’s Degree
• 2 years of Men's RTW Buying experience preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications, with strong Excel skills
• Financial acumen and strong understanding of retail math
• Strong knowledge of luxury market and fashion trends
• Critical thinking skills
• Ability to analyze sales, provide appropriate recommendations and apply learnings
• Detail oriented and strong communication skills
  
  

Salary: $80k annually bonus potential
