Our client, a prestige beauty brand, is hiring an established Executive Director, Amazon to join their team in NYC on a hybrid schedule (2-3 days in office). The ideal candidate is a results-driven and strategic leader to oversee and drive Amazon growth, marketplace management, and cross-functional execution. This role requires deep expertise in digital commerce, strong analytical capabilities, and the ability to collaborate across internal teams and external partners to maximize sales, profitability, and brand presence.
Job Duties Include:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive Amazon strategy to drive growth, profitability, and market share
- Own the overall business performance, including P&L management, sales forecasting, and long-term strategic planning
- Identify and execute new business opportunities to enhance Amazon’s presence and revenue streams
- Develop annual and quarterly business plans, ensuring alignment with broader company objectives
- Oversee day-to-day Amazon operations, ensuring excellence in execution and performance across all KPIs
- Optimize product listings, pricing strategies, and promotional efforts to drive conversion and customer engagement
- Partner closely with inventory and supply chain teams to manage demand planning, allocation, and fulfillment efficiency, including FBA and FBM models
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align on Amazon strategies and execution
- Serve as the liaison between the company and Amazon teams, fostering strong relationships and negotiating agreements
- Lead discussions with leadership on business performance, opportunities, and challenges, providing data-driven insights and recommendations
- Utilize Amazon data analytics tools (such as Amazon Brand Analytics, Helium 10, Jungle Scout) to track performance, identify trends, and optimize strategies for sales growth and profitability
- Implement testing strategies (A/B testing, promotions, pricing models) to improve conversion rates and customer retention
- Leverage consumer insights and industry benchmarks to enhance Amazon’s effectiveness in the digital commerce space
- Build and lead a high-performing Amazon team, fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement
- Set clear goals and performance expectations, ensuring alignment with business priorities
- Monitor and respond to market trends, competitive dynamics, and platform changes to maintain a competitive edge
Job Qualifications Include:
- 10 years of experience in Amazon, including scaling and leading the P&L for a profitable 3P Amazon Business with sale volume of $100MM annually
- Experience working in an omnichannel company (DTC, Amazon/Marketplace, Retail)
- Strong P&L ownership experience, with the ability to manage budgets, forecasts, and financial performance
- Deep understanding of Amazon Seller Central and Vendor Central, including digital merchandising, SEO, PPC advertising, and conversion optimization
- Strong analytical skills with experience using data to drive business decisions
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to build relationships across internal and external stakeholders
- Experience managing cross-functional teams and leading strategic initiatives
- International Amazon experience
Salary: $230k - $240k annually
