Scientific Service Support

Pay Range: $21 - $22/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Pick up and deliver glassware and plastic ware.
• Observe the established procedures for the handling and transporting of glassware and contaminated items.
• Operate autoclaves for decontamination or sanitization.
• Operate glassware washers, dry heat sterilizers and ultrasonic baths
• Maintain temperature chart recorders / equipment forms and use proper documentation.
• Perform routine inspections/checks on glass wash and autoclave equipment
• Prepare items for sanitization including glassware, caps and related articles, employing procedural steps during the process.
• Inspect glassware for cleanliness and structural defects.
• Routinely checks inventory of glassware, notifying Glassware Lead of deficiencies.
• Observe all safety precautions and be proactive in raising safety and operational concerns.
• Complete all required training in a timely manner.
• Interaction level with Management/Team Members:
• Daily

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Key skills; Glasswasher experience (Highly preferred)
• Any Lab experience is nice to have
• Academic experience will work if no industry experience
• Associate s degree in a scientific field OR High School Diploma or equivalent with 2 years of experience in a related field
• Provide housekeeping of glassware processing areas.
• Follow all procedures in performing all aspects of glassware processing.
• Perform monthly de-scale and routine maintenance.
• Use Good Documentation Practices (GDP) for all paperwork.
• Technology Requirements: MS Suite
• Mentor/Train new team members
• Work with team lead to develop process improvement initiatives
• This role will work closely with other teams to seamlessly deliver lab support services.
• Will be required to cross-train and back-up other lab support areas as needed.
• Maintain training and compliance in areas of health and safety, security, environmental and
• operational aspects of daily activities in the working environment
• Ability to adapt and adjust to fast pace environment
• Team player
• Effective communicator
• Detail oriented
