Job Title: Bartender
At The Elms Hotel & Spa, we are seeking friendly and courteous individuals to join our team as Bartenders. As a Bartender, you will serve beverages and food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner, resulting in guest satisfaction.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Serve beverages and food to guests in a friendly, courteous, and timely manner.
Prepare beverages for other servers to supply to guests and act as a cashier for the lounge.
Maintain proper and adequate set-up of the bar, requisitioning and stocking all necessary items.
Ensure the quality of fresh fruit and vegetable garnishes, juices, and other perishables.
Greet guests warmly, promote and document drink orders, and mix, garnish, and present drinks using standard recipes and prudent portion control.
Requirements:
Self-starting personality with an even disposition and maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
Strong communication skills and willingness to pitch in and help coworkers with their duties.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service of various alcoholic beverages.
Ability to operate a cash register, make change, total guest checks, count total bank, prepare cash drops, total all other charges, and understand portion sizes.
Sufficient manual dexterity in your hands to use a knife to make garnishes, pick up glassware and bottles, scoop ice, mix drinks, and reach overhead to retrieve stock.
