We are looking for a highly motivated, customer-focused Food Runner to join our team! The Food Runner is key to a successful operation. This individual is responsible for supporting the service team with delivering memorable hospitality to our guests. As a Food Runner, it is your responsibility to ensure the correct food items get delivered to guests in a timely manner, communicating with the kitchen team as necessary, and assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, working to keep the serving stations filled, clearing, and cleaning tables. This individual will need to be quick on their feet and have an engaging attitude.

We are looking for a highly motivated, customer-focused Food Runner to join our team! The Food Runner is key to a successful operation. This individual is responsible for supporting the service team with delivering memorable hospitality to our guests. As a Food Runner, it is your responsibility to ensure the correct food items get delivered to guests in a timely manner, communicating with the kitchen team as necessary, and assist in maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the restaurant, working to keep the serving stations filled, clearing, and cleaning tables. This individual will need to be quick on their feet and have an engaging attitude.
Your Role
- Deliver food orders from the kitchen to customers’ tables rapidly and accurately.
- Act as the contact point between the Front of the House and Back of the House staff
- Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g. food allergies)
- Ensure food is served in accordance with safety standards (e.g. proper temperature)
- Check in with customers and take additional orders or refill water, as needed.
- Remove dirty dishes and utensils.
- Answer guests’ questions about ingredients and menu items
- Inform restaurant staff about customers’ feedback or requests (e.g. when they ask for the check)
Qualifications
- A minimum of one year experience in a Hotel is preferred
- Must have flexible night and weekend availability to fulfill this role.
- Require excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Must be able to lift 30lbs on a regular and continuous basis. Stand/Walk for 6 hours.
- Ability to communicate effectively in the English language.
