The iconic Arizona Biltmore is located in the heart of the prestigious Biltmore neighborhood in Phoenix. The resort was named the “Jewel of the Desert” since its opening on February 23, 1929. Overview
We're looking for a team-oriented Maintenance Engineer III to join our Property Operations Team! This position will primarily work on Pool Maintenance but may be assigned to other areas as needed.
Duties
As a Maintenance Engineer III, you would be responsible for performing repairs and preventive maintenance tasks in all pools in a professional manner. Specifically, this includes, but is not limited to, the following duties:
- Troubleshoot and repair various pieces of water feature equipment, including: indoor fountains, outdoor fountains, outdoor pools, outdoor spas, cold plunge and water slides.
- Strong water balancing knowledge to include Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification. This includes the care and maintenance of chemical delivery systems and controllers to maintain proper water balance at all times. Including riding, inspecting, and maintaining the water slide daily.
- When assigned, troubleshoot other pieces of mechanical equipment.to include pumps, motors, impellers, controllers, solenoids, pool heaters and pool coolers.
- Adhere to all OSHA regulations and EPA regulations to maintain a safe work environment. Must be willing enter bodies of water and slides as needed for required repairs, cleaning or waxing, and subject to extreme outdoor conditions all year.
- Ability to schedule workload effectively and communicate with other departments regarding pool maintenance and care that may affect other hotel operations.
- Able to work closely with vendors and team members to ensure repair and maintenance of all water feature equipment in a timely manner and within working budgets.
- Schedules and completes Preventative Maintenance on equipment and maintains specific accurate readings on all bodies of water as scheduled and required.
- Demonstrate commitment to making a conscientious effort to eliminate or reduce the risk
- of injury to our guests and associates, damage to our property or the property of others. Know the correct action to take in the event of an emergency, demonstrate this knowledge by acting appropriately in the event of an emergency. The willingness to be CPR certified is strongly recommended.
Qualifications
- At least 2 years experience plumbing or other related maintenance field in a complex facility.
- Certified Pool Operator Certification, required.
- Hotel Engineering experience, preferred.
