Pyramid Healthcare has an extensive history of providing high-quality outpatient treatment in south central Pennsylvania. With comprehensive and individualized treatment plans, Pyramid Healthcare is an invaluable resource to adults and teens suffering from substance use, mental health, and / or eating disorders. We are currently seeking a Part Time Music Therapist to join our amazing team of behavioral healthcare professionals. Location : This role would support our locations in York, Harrisburg and Palmyra in person.
Hours : Approximately 10 hours a week.
Pay : 35-45 per hour
Job Details :
- Uses subject, form and content of various art forms to enhance and initiate growth and change
- Conducts and facilitates modality of music therapy
- Prepares materials for facilitating sessions and or groups
- Collaborates with other professionals in a team approach
- Assists Executive Directors in achieving excellent program survey results and making recommendations as needed to provide optimal service
- Evaluates behavioral and emotional needs of clients
- Participates in completing documents within the allowable time frames in collaboration with therapists
- Scheduled based on needs of the programs, fulfilling coverage needs that may result in consistent hours
- Attends trainings, staff meetings and supervision as needed and according to program standards
- Maintains safe, clean, orderly and therapeutic physical environment for clients including crisis intervention
- Maintains ethical boundaries with clients
- Travel to offices as needed
- Other duties as deemed necessary
Technical Competencies :
Education, Experience :
1) Bachelors Degree required
2) MT-BC preferred, but board-certification in-process is considerable
