What are the responsibilities and job description for the Certified Peer Recovery Specialist Apprentice position at Pyramid Healthcare?

Our Behavioral Health Technician Lead is responsible for the overall supervision of clients and other BHTs while on duty. Lead BHT ensures client and staff follow protocols, and reports issues to the Program Director and others as needed. Pyramid Healthcare in Charlotte Hall offers Inpatient treatment for men and women with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, co-occurring disorders and problem gambling. We also provide psychiatric services for clients who require medication management! Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, we strive to customize our treatment plans on the needs of each client through groups or individual sessions, collaborating as needed to create comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.
Summary:
- Assist individuals in establishing necessary connections with available supports in the facility and the community that will facilitate initiation and on-going engagement in the recovery process.
- Assist individuals in developing and solidifying long-term recovery supports, and providing services before, during, and following an individual's engagement in the treatment continuum.
Shift:
- 12pm to 8pm. Must have weekend availability
Pay:
- Progressive wages as indicated by apprenticeship agreement
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provide lived experience expertise and interact with multi-disciplinary treatment team
- Maintain regular contact with referral sources as indicated
- Prepare and conduct concurrent reviews to referral sources as directed by supervisor
- Responsible for timely completion of medical record documentation
- Facilitates group sessions
- Documentation of all client or peripheral contacts
- Participate in facility peer engagement processes
- Productive, effective and professional relationships with all disciplines
- Keeps supervisor informed
- Provide transportation for clients to access community resources
- Other duties as assigned.
Education, Licensure, & Experience
Have high school Diploma/GED
Current CRS certification
Current enrollment in Rowan College of South Jersey CPRS apprenticeship program
One year of work experience in a substance abuse treatment facility preferred
One year of direct peer support experience preferred
