Position Overview
The Clinical Director is responsible for the oversight of all clinical services, ensuring adherence to clinical standards and compliance expectations in collaboration with program and corporate leadership. This role includes direct supervision of clinical staff, program development, and the implementation of best practices to enhance client care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all clinical services, including assessment and intake, group facilitation, family therapy, individual therapy, aftercare planning, crisis stabilization, and utilization review.
- Provide clinical supervision and training for clinical staff, ensuring structured onboarding, regular supervision meetings, and ongoing professional development.
- Develop and refine clinical services in collaboration with program and corporate leadership, including participation in annual clinical strategic planning.
- Ensure compliance with documentation, EMR utilization, billing, and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor client engagement and outcome measures to enhance the effectiveness of treatment programs.
- Address barriers to clinical engagement and implement initiatives for continuous improvement.
- Oversee the development and implementation of clinical curriculum in alignment with divisional and regional clinical philosophies.
- Participate in marketing efforts and community outreach to support program visibility and engagement.
- Manage on-call clinical needs and provide crisis stabilization support as necessary.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and accreditation regulations and represent the program during internal and external audits.
- Supervise all clinical staff, providing guidance, training, and performance oversight.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Licensure: LADC I or other independent master’s-level licensure valid in the state of Massachusetts.
- Education: Master’s degree in clinical psychology, education counseling, medicine, mental health, psychology, psychiatric nursing, rehabilitative counseling, social work, or a closely related field.
- Experience:
- Minimum of two years of supervised substance use disorder counseling experience.
- At least one year of full-time clinical supervisory experience.
- Strong oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent clinical judgment and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to assess and respond effectively to crisis situations.
- In-depth knowledge of federal, state, and accreditation regulations.
- Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems.
