Counselor Lead

Come join our Clinical Team in leading our clinicians in providing direct care services to clients in adult substance-use treatment! Pyramid Healthcare in California, Maryland offers outpatient treatment and intensive outpatient treatment (IOP) for men and women with substance use disorders, mental health disorders, co-occurring disorders and problem gambling. We also provide psychiatric services for clients who require medication management! Rather than relying on a one-size-fits-all approach, we strive to customize our treatment plans on the needs of each client through groups or individual sessions, collaborating as needed to create comprehensive and individualized treatment plans.

Pay range: $55,000 TO $60,000 per year

Here at Walden, our Counselors:

• provide elite-level care to adults seeking treatment by evaluating behavioral, emotional, cognitive, spiritual, and social needs
• provide personalized treatment plans specific to individual needs
• Facilitate all clinical services for clients including individual and family sessions, therapeutic groups, and referral source/ outpatient provider contact.
• provide detailed and personalized aftercare planning and community outreach resources/referrals
• Other duties as assigned

Deliverables/Principal Results Expected:
• Responsible for providing leadership and support to counselors and tech staff.
• Co-facilitating group therapy, including preparation of materials, through research and construction of curriculum.
• Communicating with referral sources and company representatives regularly to strengthen relationships and address concerns/problems.
• Responsible for intake process with new clients into program.
• Participates in on-call duties for the facility to assist line staff with client behavioral and emotional needs.
• Oversees Family Programming including but no limited to the facilitation of psycho-educational programming.
• Assist Clinical Supervisor with clerical duties and any other duties as assigned.
• Other duties as assigned.
