Location: Newport News, VA
Schedule: This role requires weekend availability.

Position Overview
The Counselor plays a pivotal role in guiding clients toward lasting recovery by delivering clinical services, maintaining thorough documentation, and contributing to a therapeutic, supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and review individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the treatment team, adhering to clinical policies and standards.
Facilitate individual and family therapy sessions, therapeutic groups, and engage with referral sources and outpatient providers.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical records in the electronic health record system.
Provide documentation and support for utilization review processes.
Assist in the development of aftercare plans and track outcomes.
Participate in curriculum development and staff training initiatives.
Ensure a safe and therapeutic environment for clients, including effective crisis intervention.
Qualifications
Licensure:
Required: LPC, LCSW, Licensed-Eligible Resident, or CSAC.
Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field preferred.
Strong clinical skills and sound judgment, with the ability to handle crisis situations effectively.
