October Road ACTT 4 Team is looking for a Housing Specialist!
- Candidates must have a good knowledge of local housing authorities and experience working with persistent mental illness.
- Candidates must have a Bachelors in Social Work
- Provide crisis management and intervention services to individuals in need
- Utilize knowledge of housing in the area to help clients obtain and keep housing
- Collaborate with property management teams to ensure the well-being of residents
- Navigate and interpret laws and regulations related to housing, and property management
- Strong knowledge of laws and regulations related to housing, and property management
- Excellent crisis management and intervention skills
- Proficient in addiction counseling techniques, mental health and motivational interviewing
- Ability to effectively collaborate with property management teams
- Strong negotiation skills to advocate for clients' needs
Experience:
- Prefer 1-3 years of experience working with individuals with severe and persistent mental illness.
- Needs fluent knowledge of local housing and authorities.
- Requires Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited college or university. Prefer Graduate degree within a professional Human Services discipline. Requires QP status according to 10A NCAC 27G.0104
