To excel in this role, you must possess a Master's degree from an accredited college with a major in chemical dependency, psychology, social work, or counseling. A Master's level licensure in marriage and family therapy, social work, or professional counseling is also required. Preferred experience in the mental health/trauma, eating disorder, and substance use domains is an asset. You must demonstrate excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to handle crisis situations and react appropriately.
