We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Shipping Clerk to join our team at Pyramid Plastics. The Shipping Clerk will be responsible for managing the shipment of finished goods, maintaining accurate inventory records, and ensuring the timely delivery of products to customers. This position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate effectively with internal teams and external partners.
Starting Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and process shipping documentation, including bills of lading, packing slips, shipping labels, material certifications and ISO 9001:2015 documents.
- Coordinate with carriers and freight companies to schedule timely shipments and pickups.
- Ensure all outgoing shipments meet quality standards and customer specifications.
- Verify accuracy of shipment contents, quantities, and part numbers before dispatch.
- Track and confirm shipments to ensure on-time delivery to customers.
- Maintain accurate inventory records, perform cycle counts, and assist with physical inventory audits.
- Monitor inventory levels of packaging materials and shipping supplies, and reorder as needed.
- Collaborate with the production team to prioritize shipments and minimize delays.
- Identify and report any discrepancies or damaged products to the appropriate department.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
- Utilize inventory control systems and ERP software to manage shipping and receiving data.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certifications in logistics or inventory management preferred.
- Proven experience as a Shipping Clerk, Inventory Clerk, or in a similar logistics role within a manufacturing environment, preferably plastic injection molding.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Familiarity with inventory control systems and shipping software.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in documentation and inventory management.
- Effective communication skills to work with team members, vendors, and customers.
- Ability to lift and move packages up to 50 lbs. as needed.
- Knowledge of safety and handling regulations for shipments.
Physical Demands:
- Standing, walking, and lifting for extended periods.
- Repetitive use of hands and arms to handle shipments and use inventory equipment.
