Pyramid Paving & Contracting Co. is seeking a Traffic Regulator (flag person) to join our team. It is a full-time position with a seasonal layoff.

No experience necessary. On the job training will be provided.

Job will begin immediately upon start of the paving season (Late April-Early May).
Duties and responsibilities for this position include, but are not limited to:

- Implement proper traffic control measures to ensure the safety of the public and your team;
- Use radio equipment and stop/slow paddle to regulate traffic flow through road construction zones;
- Set up and break down traffic control equipment;
- Use a variety of hand tools in compliance with the Company's safety policies and procedures;
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor on commercial/road construction projects;
- Ensure company equipment, material, and the work site are maintained, kept clean, and stored in a safe manner. Collect and dispose of scrap, excess materials, and refuse;
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed. Bring problems to the attention of the Foreman or HR Manager;
- Complete required paperwork, reporting, and other documentation.
Individuals who meet the following qualifications for this position will be considered:
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation to and from job sites up to 100 miles from each plant;
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time, and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions;
- Willingness to work overtime, including early start and late end times and weekends;
- Good hand and foot coordination;
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Good troubleshooting and critical thinking skills.
