Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Cable Technician to join our team. The Cable Technician will be responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing various types of data and telecommunications cables.
Duties
- Install network infrastructure including routers, switches, and cabling
- Perform computer networking tasks related to cable installation
- Troubleshoot and repair telecommunication systems
- Utilize hand tools to complete cable installations
- Conduct telephone system installations and repairs
- Ensure proper cabling for low voltage systems
- Apply mechanical knowledge to cable routing and installation
- Use a voltmeter to test and diagnose cable issues
Requirements
- Experience in network installation and computer networking
- Proven track record as a service technician in the telecommunications industry
- Proficiency in working with hand tools for cable installations
- Knowledge of telephone systems and cabling practices
- Familiarity with low voltage systems and their requirements
- Mechanical aptitude for efficient cable routing
- Ability to use a voltmeter for testing and troubleshooting purposes
Job Types: Contract, Temporary, Temp-to-hire
Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
