Job Summary
The purpose of this position is to support and assist in the management of HSE (Environmental Health and Safety) programs for a specific account or market area.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist in managing HSE programs and initiatives to meet regulatory requirements and client-specific needs.
- Evaluate new and existing programs to assess suitability and recommend changes as needed.
- Support the process for monitoring injury, illness, and incident-related performance within the assigned account or market area.
- Develop and implement strategic solutions to improve performance results as required.
- Act as a resource and HSE subject matter expert for staff and internal customers.
- Provide timely advice and information to management on HSE performance, compliance, trends, and concerns.
- Oversee specific HSE plans, playbooks, and procedures, ensuring they are current, complete, and effectively implemented.
- Identify opportunities to reduce costs while enhancing service quality.
- Respond to customer concerns regarding HSE matters.
- Establish work schedules and assign tasks to staff members.
- Travel to various sites within the account region as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Supervisory Responsibilities
- Provide formal supervision to employees within a single functional or operational area.
- Recommend staff recruitment, selection, promotion, advancement, corrective action, and termination.
- Plan and monitor appropriate staffing levels and labor utilization, including overtime.
- Prepare and deliver performance appraisals for staff.
- Mentor and coach team members to develop competencies.
- Lead by example, modeling behaviors consistent with company values.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must meet the following criteria:
Education and Experience
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 3 years of related management experience.
- Working knowledge of federal, state, and local health, safety, and environmental regulations.
- Direct experience with regulatory agencies or compliance officers preferred.
- Experience in manufacturing, robotics, construction, and facility maintenance/management preferred.
Certificates and Licenses
- Any of the following certifications are preferred:
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP)
- Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH)
- Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM)
- Occupational Health and Safety Technician (OHST)
Communication Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational and analytical abilities.
- Ability to provide efficient, timely, and courteous service to customers.
- Proficient in presenting information and addressing sensitive issues effectively.
Financial Knowledge

Key Responsibilities in Infrastructure and Project Delivery
- Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and regulatory agencies to align safety objectives with legal requirements and client procedures.
- Identify and mitigate potential hazards and risks associated with project activities.
- Act on behalf of the client to ensure adherence to policies and procedures based on construction activities.
- Evaluate contractor performance and advise project managers and leadership.
Safety Documentation
- Review contractor safety plans to ensure conformance with site procedures, identify gaps, and establish mitigation strategies.
- Maintain accurate records of contractor safety programs and requested documentation.
Required Skills
- Functional knowledge of safety standards including OSHA, NFPA, ANSI, ISO, ACGIH, and NIOSH.
- Proficiency in collaborative software such as ASANA and Autodesk.

Pay: $50.00 - $55.00 per hour
