Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Inspections Supervisor to join our team. The ideal candidate will oversee the inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire alarm and sprinkler systems, ensuring compliance with safety codes and regulations. This role requires exceptional supervisory abilities, including coaching and mentoring field teams to achieve the highest standards of performance and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise, coach, mentor and lead field teams for inspections.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure system reliability and compliance.
- Supervise and train a team of technicians in fire safety systems inspection and maintenance.
- Coordinate with local fire departments and regulatory agencies to ensure inspections meet all legal requirements.
- Manage documentation and reporting for inspections.
- Stay updated on the latest fire safety codes and regulations, including NFPA72.
- Lead by example, demonstrating professionalism, integrity, and strong work ethic.
- Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for new hires and ongoing training for existing team members.
- Identify and support opportunities for professional development and certification for team members.
- Ensure all test and inspection tasks are performed to the highest standards.
- Manage and allocate resources effectively, ensuring that all necessary tools, equipment, and materials are available and in good working condition.
- Coordinate schedules and assignments to maximize efficiency and productivity.
- Foster a culture of proactive problem-solving, encouraging team members to identify and address issues promptly.
- Conduct regular team meetings to discuss progress, address concerns, and share updates.
Qualifications:
- NICET Level II Required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in fire alarm and sprinkler system testing and inspection.
- Strong knowledge of NFPA standards and local fire safety regulations.
- Regulation 4 certification in fire alarm and sprinkler inspections preferred.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
