IMMEDIATE EMPLOYMENT
- Pay range from $24.00 to $30.00 per hour
- Full Time Non-Exempt Position
Summary Description:
Installer Level 1: Must be able to perform the following tasks and meet the basic requirements.
- 0-3 years’ experience in the low voltage industry
- Knowledge of all installation processes for multiple types of cabling
- Ability to learn, understand & interpret drawings, plans & specs
- Able to terminate Jacks, 110 blocks and 66 blocks for various types of cable included Cat5E, Cat6, Cat6a and multi-pair cable
- Dress cabling and terminate patch panels for small projects
- Basic testing and troubleshooting abilities
- Pull fiber optic cabling
- Working knowledge of the proper tools used in the low voltage industry including use of powder actuated tools
- Able to sort cabling into bundles at MDF/IDF including toning miss label cables
- Knowledge of applicable codes for the supporting of low voltage cabling systems
- Understanding of the need for ongoing education for both current and future skill sets
- Installation of cable support systems
- Plan cable pathways
- Monitor and follow safety practice for themselves and others
- Mount location boxes
- Route and dress cable through office furniture
- Ability to label wires as indicated on the drawings
- Pull low voltage cable in commercial and residential environments
