Job Summary
As a Sales Representative at Pyro-Comm Systems, Inc., you will work closely with the Director of Sales to create and expand new business opportunities within Orange County (OC). Your role involves prospecting for new clients, renewing service contracts, and identifying opportunities for service expansion. You will collaborate with the Operations and Estimating Teams to develop strategic approaches for securing projects. This role requires a proactive sales mindset, relationship-building skills, and technical expertise to drive success in the fire and life safety industry.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Business Development
- Identify, qualify, and pursue customer and project opportunities for Pyro-Comm Systems, Inc.
- Self-generate new sales opportunities through prospecting, networking, and outreach.
- Visit job sites and cold call potential customers with confidence to promote Pyro-Comm’s services.
- Prepare and present proposals for projects to secure new business.
- Meet with potential and existing customers to build and maintain strong relationships.
- Maintain accurate documentation of sales activities, prospecting efforts, and customer interactions.
- Provide regular status reports on sales pipeline and performance.
- Participate in trade shows, community events, and networking activities to establish industry presence.
- Identify and resolve customer satisfaction issues to ensure long-term client relationships.
- Demonstrate the ability to close deals and sustain positive customer relationships.
Qualifications & Skills
Sales & Business Expertise
- Strong sales acumen with a proven ability to identify opportunities and close deals.
- Confidence in cold calling, prospecting, and job site visits.
- Excellent ability to build rapport and develop long-term relationships with customers.
- Experience in preparing and delivering compelling sales proposals.
Technical & Industry Knowledge
- Knowledge of security and fire alarm systems is required. Please list any certifications you currently hold.
Organization & Communication
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills for customer interactions.
- Ability to create engaging PowerPoint presentations for client education and training.
- Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and record-keeping skills.
Other Requirements
- Proficiency in computer tools and software for sales documentation and communication.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel to customer sites as needed.
- Willingness to attend industry events, trade shows, and networking activities.

- Salary Range $75,000-$100,000
