We are looking for a Quality Assurance Inspector to help conduct testing on our products to identify and resolve defects, and other potential issues.
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must have High School Diploma or GED.
2. 1-3 years of manufacturing experience required.
3. 1-3 years of Quality Assurance experience required.
4. Must be able successfully pass Quality Assurance (QA) entrance test with a score of 80% or better.
5. Must be able to understand and use a VL Chart.
6. Must be able to read and understand the use and placement of Allocation Reports.
7. Must be able to calculate weights and measurements.
8. Must be able to read and understand procedures.
9. Familiarity with manufacturing and quality practices preferred.
10. Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
11. Must be able to read at Level 4 on the Graham-Field Eye Test Card (Jaeger Eye Test).
12. Must be able to understand and utilize the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system.
13. Must be able to receive clearance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE).
14. Must be able to work overtime or alternate shift schedule, if needed to provide QA coverage with minimal notice.
15. Must possess valid driver’s license.
16. Must be able to perform QA inspections and testing at various locations of facility which may require use of personal or Company vehicle.
17. Must be able to work and communicate well at all levels.
18. Must work well under the pressures of ensuring that requirements and specifications are maintained in an ever-changing environment.
19. Must be courteous, tactful, and objective while working to ensure that quality and service objectives are maintained throughout the organization.
20. Must have the ability to make judgments based on factual data, work with minimal supervision, and manage multiple projects and tasks.
21. Must have excellent organizational and time management skills.
22. Knowledge in basic blueprint reading preferred.
23. Must be signed off on two main product lines OR one main product line and two minor product lines OR one main line and perform incoming inspections on all incoming product within 4 months of hire.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Responsible for performing quality inspections and roving inspections on two main product lines OR one main product line and two minor product lines OR one main line and perform incoming inspections on all incoming products.
2. Must not have more than three roving’s in any given month.
3. Must be committed to ISO and the company's Quality Management System using process approach and risk based thinking methodologies.
4. Must be able to successfully pass various Standard Inspection Procedure (SIP) tests with a score of 80% or better upon completion of Procedural training.
5. Read and understand the use of the Quality Essential Material Book.
6. Shares accountability for the effectiveness of the Quality Management System.
7. Audit production process parts in accordance with SIPs.
8. Audit incoming and outgoing materials at the facility.
9. Utilize stopwatches, humidity and temperature recorders, scales, calipers, depth gages, go/no-go templates and other appropriate instruments in the inspection of product.
10. Initiate and monitor necessary corrective action reports.
11. Assist with development and/or revisions of Quality System documentation.
12. Maintain and update appropriate quality records.
13. Perform Moisture Analyzer Testing on specified chemicals and packaging materials.
14. Report to Manager any problems experienced while performing duties.
15. Replace and maintain weekly charts for production and dry houses.
16. Responsible for the pulling of required Lot testing samples for all production lines.
17. Perform Roving Inspections on production lines in addition to required inspections.
18. Assist with the completion on special government and Department of Defense (DoD) projects including fireworks.
19. Responsible for the accuracy of all production SPC Charts.
20. Ensure work area is clean at end of shift.
21. Participate in on-going training and education as directed by QA Management.
22. Obey all company work and safety rules.
23. Perform all other duties as directed by QA Management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Must be able to walk throughout facility 8-12 hrs per day.
2. Must be able to work outside dealing with unfavorable weather conditions.
3. Must be able to lift, push, or pull up to 25 lbs. on an occasional basis.
