What are the responsibilities and job description for the Warehouse Assistant position at Pyrotechnique by Grucci, Inc?
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
1. Good verbal communication skills, as well as strong attention to detail.
2. Demonstrate ability to work successfully with different personalities and communication styles.
3. Team player with a solid work ethic and consistent follow-through.
4. Availability and willingness to work select evenings and some weekends as needed.
5. At least 2 years of warehouse experience.
6. Receiving experience of at least 6 months
7. Must possess a forklift driver training.
8. Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks as necessary.
9. Strong focus on meeting deadlines.
10. Excellent research and problem-solving skills.
11. Be able to work with little supervision.
12. Must possess a valid driver's license.
13. Be able to read, speak, write, and understand English.
14. Must be able to receive clearance from the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE).
15. CDL class A or B with Haz-Mat endorsement, required or will need to obtain within I year of employment, funded by company. (Must be 21 years of age) Requires a sign on contract for 2 years when enrolled into the CDL course if funded by company) Pay Increase included.
16. Seasonal or parttime assistants must be 18 years of age and CDL requirement does not pertain.
JOB DUTIES:
1. Unload and load all incoming/outbound shipments.
2. Perform material handling duties to support any production in the facility.
3. Cross train in the Radford facility when necessary to provide backup to the Material Handling Staff.
4. Participate in fireworks testing and/or show site setup to understand the equipment.
5. Assist in transporting materials back and forth to the Radford facility.
6. Assist in picking trucks up from the rental locations to load at the facilities.
7. Load and unload equipment trucks using handheld loading equipment, pallet jacks, and forklift.
8. Assist in maintaining accurate inventory in the asset tracking system
9. Receive Truck Packing Lists (TPL) for FbG Displays, and pack all equipment required, ensuring 100% accuracy for all required equipment.
10. Process the TPL’s in the asset management system to check all equipment out when packed to the job site or staging area until ready to ship
11. Ensure all packed equipment is labeled properly identifying the display name, job number, and all other necessary identification as directed by management.
12. Verify all equipment returns compared to the TPL and checked out to the job site.
13. Ensure all equipment is checked back in from the job site to ensure an accurate inventory
14. Address with management any equipment that was not returned from the job site.
15. Perform inspections on all equipment being returned for damage.
16. Perform cleaning processes on all returned equipment to ensure equipment is ready for the next job once stored.
17. Ensure all equipment is stored safely and in an organized manner.
18. Participate in reorganization of the warehouse as necessary to ensure tasks can be performed as efficiently as possible.
19. Ensue safe and proper use of all warehouse equipment and address any unsafe use.
20. Ensure all equipment is put in for repairs when necessary.
21. Always wear necessary safety equipment, when inside the warehouse.
22. Assist the Electronic Department in performing tests, repairs, and cleaning of the electronic equipment as directed by management.
23. Assist in building set pieces for firework displays.
24. Assist in construction of new equipment as well as repairing damaged equipment.
25. Complete all required paperwork such as checklists, picking lists, packing lists, TPL's and inventory forms according to company policies and procedures.
26. Willing to cross train in the Receiving/Shipping duties if assigned by management.
27. Willing to cross train in the inspections of incoming materials and identifying shipments with labeling if assigned by management.
28. Assist the team in keeping our Warehouse and the surrounding grounds neat and organized.
29. Assist in physical inventories and in loading and unloading trucks and containers and perform cycle counts and audit counts.
30. Abide by all company policies and procedures and comply with all governmental laws and regulations.
31. Obeys all company work and safety rules.
32. Performs all other duties as assigned by management.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
1.Must be able to move throughout the facility throughout the course of the workday.
2.Must be able to lift up to 60 pounds at a time.
3.Must be able to traverse and access all areas of the warehouse.
4.Must be able to enter and exit trailers using ladders.
