Position Summary
In this role you will play a crucial role in the planning, execution, and maintenance of our drone light shows and equipment.
Essential Functions
While not all-inclusive, the following is a list of primary and general duties. In addition to these listed duties, this position shall also perform other tasks as assigned, shall abide by all provisions of the Employee Handbook, and shall participate in all company initiatives and projects.
- Collaborate with the creative team to conceptualize and choreograph drone light show performances.
- Assist in the setup, calibration, and testing of drones prior to each event.
- Conduct pre-flight checks to ensure the safety and functionality of all equipment.
- Operate drones during live performances, executing scripted flight paths and cues with precision.
- Monitor drone performance and troubleshoot technical issues in real-time to maintain seamless shows.
- Conduct post-show inspections and perform routine maintenance to ensure the reliability of the drone fleet.
- Adhere to safety protocols and regulatory requirements governing drone operations.
Experience and Skills/Abilities
- Completion of a recognized drone pilot training program.
- Knowledge of FAA regulations and best practices for safe drone operations.
- Experience with drone programming and flight control software,
- Proficiency in operating and maintaining drone systems
- Strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Previous experience in live events production or the entertainment industry is preferred but not required.
- Google Workspace, NetSuite, HubSpot, and Monday.com are preferred.
Education
- Valid Part 107 Drone Pilot Certificate
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
The person in this role must be able to both move about the warehouse and both indoor and outdoor venues frequently, walk, bend, stoop, stand and climb, and at times, remain stationary depending on the task or the shift of the day. This person must move about occasionally inside the office to access office machinery and to have routine contact with other facility individuals. The person in this role must have the ability to push/pull up to 100lbs occasionally, lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently.
Travel
This position requires travel, up to 25% of the time. Travel will be mixed, local and outside the local area and overnight.
Expected Hours of Work
The typical work schedule for this position follows a standard workday, with occasional flexibility for evening and weekend work during high-volume periods. All breaks and lunches will comply with local, state, and federal laws, and overtime, if required, will be compensated in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
