Position Summary
This role performs inspection, cleaning, testing and inventory of drone light show systems and all associated equipment.
Essential Functions
While not all-inclusive, the following is a list of primary and general duties. In addition to these listed duties, this position shall also perform other tasks as assigned, shall abide by all provisions of the Employee Handbook, and shall participate in all company initiatives and projects.
Receives new drones/equipment/parts/etc - inspects, barcodes as needed, add to inventory and place in proper location within the drone building- Loads trucks/vans/trailers according to pull sheets and in accordance to Pyrotencico loading procedures
- Unloads return trucks - inspects all equipment, clean, test and place into appropriate storage location as assigned by management
- Routinely test fly drones
- Repairs minor issues such as drone propellers
- Learn and use Flex inventory system or as needed
- Enter damaged or out of service product into OOC in Flex
- Update drone manager regarding items that are OOC
- Learn safety and compliance requirements for drone shows
- Learn how to assist and/or setup a show on site
- Clean work area daily and remove trash as needed
- Complete and submit all required paperwork according to company policies
- Maintain the building and grounds in a safe, neat and organized manner.
Experience and Skills/Abilities
Ability to pass a background check through the ATF.- Valid Driver’s license.
- Valid FAA Part 107 Certificate, or ability and willingness to obtain one within first month of employment.
- General mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to follow safety protocols without exception.
- Knowledge of basic warehouse operations, including facility and grounds maintenance.
- Basic skills in the safe operation of standard hand and power tools.
- Forklift experience preferred, certification/training provided.
- Ability to work with minimal supervision after training - must be motivated and a self starter
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions of managers.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work under frequently tight deadlines with accuracy.
- Critical thinking.
Education:
High school diploma or GED
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
The person in this role must be able to both move about the warehouse and/or drone building frequently, walk, bend, stoop, stand and climb, and at times, remain stationary depending on the task or the shift of the day. This person must move about occasionally inside the office to access office machinery and to have routine contact with other facility individuals.
The person in this role must have the ability to push/pull up to 100lbs occasionally, lift/carry up to 50 lbs frequently. In this role you may be exposed to extreme weather conditions, including hot and cold weather.
Travel
This position requires travel, up to 25% of the time. Travel will be mixed, local and outside the local area and overnight.
Expected Hours of Work
The typical work schedule for this position follows a standard workday, with occasional flexibility for evening and weekend work during high-volume periods. All breaks and lunches will comply with local, state, and federal laws, and overtime, if required, will be compensated in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
