Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Property Maintenance to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the upkeep and safety of our facilities, including storage facilities for fireworks and equipment.
Essential Functions
While not all-inclusive, the following is a list of primary and general duties. In addition to these listed duties, this position shall also perform other tasks as assigned, shall abide by all provisions of the Employee Manual, and shall participate in all company initiatives and projects.
Perform repairs, installations of fixtures and appliances, and replacement of damaged systems.
Performs and documents routine and scheduled facility inspections across multiple properties..
Oversees building and grounds and lawn maintenance.
Monitoring the safety and cleanliness of interior and exterior areas, such as offices, conference rooms, parking lots and outdoor recreation spaces.
Custodial functions.
Manages and reviews facility service contracts.
Locate competitive subcontractors for major projects.
Schedule required professional services to remain compliant with Federal and State regulations.
Overseeing vendors contractors when professional repairs are necessary.
Preparing facilities for changing weather conditions.
Be on-call to respond to emergency issues
Experience and Skills/Abilities
CDL A with Hazmat endorsement preferred and/or willingness to get within 1 year of employment
1 years experience driving small and large box trucks and trailer towing.
1 years experience in operating heavy equipment such as large tractors and skid steers.
At least 2 years of prior maintenance experience.
Basic knowledge of general maintenance and the use of power tools and lawn equipment.
Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing and electrical systems.
Education
High school diploma or equivalent (required).
Relevant certifications in property maintenance or related field (preferred).
Physical Requirements/Work Environment
The person in this role must be able to frequently move about the facility, walk, bend, stoop, stand and climb regularly, and remain stationary depending on the task. This person in this role will work in a warehouse and office environment and be exposed to loud noises and hot/cold temperatures. This person will have routine contact with individuals in all areas and levels of the facility. The person in this role must have the ability to lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, and up to 50 lbs frequently.
Travel
Travel will be local and regional including travel to Chicago railyard for container shipments.
This position requires travel, at least 15% of the time between properties. Travel will be local and regional.
Expected Hours of Work
The typical work schedule for this position follows a standard workday, with occasional flexibility for evening and weekend work during high-volume periods. All breaks and lunches will comply with local, state, and federal laws, and overtime, if required, will be compensated in accordance with local, state, and federal laws.
