- Takes samples of products from the production line for Quality analyses
- Maintains equipment in optimum condition
- Keeps the environment of the refinery clean in line with GMP and 5S philosophy
- Operates the equipment through SCADA to obtain consistent and continuous operation of the plant in line with the detailed production plans.
- Takes readings of gauges and meters at regular intervals
- Makes records of operational parameters
- Troubleshoots minor problems
- To comply with all safety rules laid down in the refinery
- Ensures all production tank levels are known and accurate during operations
- Fills and maintains adequate levels of process chemicals for the refining process.
- Replaces all filters as at when due as stated in the operational plans
- Prepares equipment and raw materials according to the processing schedule.
- To ensure compliance with relevant AIB, QMS, Food Safety, OHS & EMS policies and procedures.
- To identify and rate aspects of the departmental activities and develop programs where necessary, to help control those aspects that could have adverse impact on the environment.
