POSITION DESCRIPTION : We are seeking a highly skilled Principal Azure Software Architect with experience architecting solutions at scale. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the energy domain, expertise in cloud architecture and software design, coupled with the ability to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of Azure-based cloud solutions. This senior-level role requires technical leadership and a passion for creating scalable, reliable, cost-effective, sustainable and innovative solutions in the sustainable energy domain. RESPONSIBILITIES
- Cloud Architecture & Design : Architect scalable, secure, and high-performance Azure cloud solutions tailored to Distributed Energy Resource Management Systems (DERMS) and renewable energy platforms.
- Software Development at Scale : Lead the design and review of software solutions to ensure reliability, maintainability, performance, and extensibility at scale.
- Software Design Principles : Apply and enforce best practices in software design, including microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Technical Leadership : Guide cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and innovation to deliver high-quality, efficient solutions.
- Cloud Strategy Development : Develop and implement cloud strategies aligned with business objectives, focusing on scalability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
- Integration & Optimization : Oversee the integration of existing energy systems and third-party services into Azure-based platforms, driving seamless functionality and performance optimization.
- Mentorship : Provide mentorship and technical training to junior architects, developers, and engineers, cultivating a culture of technical excellence.
- Compliance & Security : Ensure all cloud and software solutions meet industry regulations, security standards, and energy sector best practices.
