Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking an Experienced Electro-Mechanical Assembly Technician. Reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor, this role will be responsible for completing assembly of electrical and mechanical components, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards, and parts lists.
Responsibilities:
- Complete assembly of electrical and mechanical components, ensuring adherence to engineering drawings, specifications, quality standards, and parts lists
- Prepare and assemble intricate units composed of numerous components, requiring precision adjustments, alignment to close tolerances, and compliance with inspection standards
- Exhibit strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues, contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, and ensure the quality and reliability of assembled products
- Demonstrate expertise in sub-assembly and final assembly processes, including tube and hose routing, wire harness routing, soldering, crimping, and the use of assembly machinery and power tools
- Apply Lean Manufacturing practices, including 5S methodologies, to maintain an organized, efficient, and safe workspace
- Prioritize safety and quality while maintaining high levels of productivity and meeting production deadlines
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide assistance in other areas of manufacturing as needed to support operational goals
Required Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 8-10 years of previous electro-mechanical assembly experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
- Ability to read engineering drawings, electrical schematics, and technical documents
- Working knowledge of and ability to use mechanical, electrical, and measuring tools
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work efficiently both independently and in a team setting
- Ability and disposition to adapt to changing priorities
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
Desired Skills:
- Associate’s degree in a related field (e.g., Electronics, Engineering Technology, etc.)
- Experience with testing and troubleshooting electro-mechanical systems
