What are the responsibilities and job description for the Field Technician position at Q-Lab Corporation?
Q-Lab Corporation is currently seeking a Field Technician to join our team in Wittmann, AZ. Reporting to the Arizona Site Manager, this role will be responsible for maintaining testing samples as part of our Outdoor Testing Services. It is important to note this role requires significant outdoor field work.
Responsibilities:
- Mounting and exposing new tests
- Rotate tests as scheduled
- Complete monthly field rinses as scheduled
- Turn on/off outdoor testing equipment (Q-TRAC and AIM Boxes) as scheduled
- Complete freeze/thaw process as scheduled
- Practice good housekeeping, keeping area clean and organized
- Perform receiving process
- Package and ship materials
- Update contact information in carrier systems as required
- Provide back-up and support in Evaluations Services
- Assist in tracking solar radiation and radiation-based test schedules
- Support office needs in paperwork, filing, etc. as needed
- Other duties as required or necessary
Required Skills/Experience:
- Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to read and interpret complex instructions or operations manuals and follow step by step instructions.
- Manual dexterity
- Ability to work with tools and comfortable operating an electric cart and lift
- Good interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good color acuity and ability to discriminate visual defects
- Fluency in English, both written and conversational
- Able to work under extreme conditions of the Arizona desert, such as hot or cold temperatures, noise, dust, and dirt.
