Janitor/Cleaner

Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and order in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to cleaning and maintenance tasks, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency.

Duties

• Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming in designated areas.
• Maintain cleanliness in restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained.
• Assist with commercial cleaning projects as needed, including industrial cleaning tasks.
• Carry out custodial duties that may involve moving furniture or equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning.
• Support facilities maintenance by reporting any repairs or maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow safety protocols and use appropriate cleaning supplies and equipment effectively.

Residential cleaning is included and required.

Experience

• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial roles is preferred but not required; training will be provided.
• Familiarity with residential painting techniques is a plus.
• Knowledge of floor care processes and equipment operation is beneficial.
• Experience in porter services or facilities maintenance will be considered an asset.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• A commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety in all tasks performed.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $13.50 per hour

Expected hours: 6 per week
