DESCRIPTION: The Dental Office Manager will provide leadership related to the business of our Dental Office. This position will work with the Op. Director to ensure the strategies and business model are mutually aligned with the practice. This position will assume fiscal responsibility of Dental business operations, efficient staffing and scheduling models, and policy/procedure development.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.) Plan and manage dental business operations to ensure excellent patient support services.
2.) Oversee daily office activities and provide direction and guidance to staff as needed.
3.) Ensure that patient appointments, cancellations and last-minute adjustments are handled properly.
4.) Respond efficiently to patient and doctor needs and inquires.
5.) Ensure the delivery of quality dental care to patients.
6.) Respond to patient queries and issues and ensure patient satisfaction.
7.) Resolve patient issues in accordance with company polies and procedures, healthcare regulations and dental board standards.
8.) Organize and present payment schedules with patients.
9.) Manage specialist referral process.
10.) Train, develop and manage staff to meet performance standards.
11.) Develop promotional programs to attract more patients.
12.) Assist in employee performance evaluation, promotion, termination, and retention activities.
13.) Follow and enforce office policies and regulations.
14.) Review and approve vacations, sick leave and personal leave for dental staff.
15.) Identify areas of improvements and concerns and implement appropriate corrective actions.
16.) Oversee staff scheduling as to ensure full coverage.
17.) Organize and oversee supply purchases, equipment upgrades and operation expenses.
18.) Write business correspondence and reports.
19.) Run and analyze management reports.
20.) Maintain patient data according to regulations and company policies.
21.) Ensure that records are stored securely and in compliance with privacy and security regulations.
22.) Adhere to all HIPAA regulations.
23.) Take responsibility for the appearance and functionality of the dental office.
24.) All other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
1.) Dental Assistant certification preferred.
2.) Must have 3-5 years of recent and relevant experience working in the Dental field, preferably management.
3.) Must have CPR certified
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $28.00 per hour
