The Catering Operations Coordinator is responsible for the supervision and execution of any assigned off-premise catering events that require full staff service and set up for Q39. This role will also support Q39 delivery staff by coordinating and assisting in deliveries when needed. As the catering operations coordinator, you will be responsible for prioritizing the comfort and safety of our guests while leading Q39 staff in the execution of the event timeline, ensuring each catering event meets or exceeds guest expectations. You would work together with the FOH Managers and kitchen Manager to ensure BEO details are correct, timely, and complete. The catering operations coordinator reports directly to the Catering Sales Manager.
The Catering Operations Coordinator is responsible for the organization and cleanliness of catering storage areas at all Q39 locations. Catering equipment is to be maintained, cleaned, and inventoried.
To be a successful Catering Operations Coordinator, you should have strong communication and time management skills. You will be expected to manage multiple streams of information. Ultimately, a coordinator should remain calm in highly stressful situations and demonstrate excellent customer service and organizational skills.
Operations Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Welcoming all guests upon their arrival.
- Assisting managers and organizers with planning the layout and logistics of events.
- Confirming list of staff scheduled for the event with the Catering Manager no later than 72 hours prior to the event date.
- Managing the setup of events utilizing timelines established by the Catering Sales manager and adjusting in response to changing circumstances.
- Coordinating the food and drink service with service staff assigned to the event.
- Tending to guests' requests, questions, and complaints with the highest level of professionalism and urgency.
- Ensuring that the venue and facilities remain neat and clean during the event and upon departure.
- Lead Q39 associates in clean up and storage of food and equipment at the conclusion of the event. This includes the collection of any contracted linens, props, or other rental items Q39 is responsible for.
- Monitoring the inventory of catering supplies, equipment, and furniture.
- Ensuring that all applicable safety regulations are communicated and adhered to best practices and current food safety standards.
- Maintain all Q39 Catering storage areas, this position will require time to be spent at all Q39 locations.
- Assisting with the execution of deliveries should the need arise at either location.
- All additional reasonable responsibilities discussed and assigned by Catering Sales Manager
Operations Coordinator Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED.
- A minimum of 3 years’ experience in food catering or similar.
Prior experience leading or overseeing multiple employees.
- Strong time management and multitasking abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- The ability to provide excellent customer service, even in stressful situations.
- Be capable of lifting or moving up to 25lbs of weight as well as standing on feet for prolonged periods of time.
- Willingness to work extended hours, varying shifts, and on weekends and holidays.
- Current valid driver’s license and ability to pass a driver check.
Qualifications
Salary : $47,000
