Duties and Responsibilities
- Plans and coordinates the flow of guests into the dining, patio and bar areas
- Ensures dining rooming and wait stations for service at the beginning of shift
- Greets and acknowledge incoming guests warmly and graciously upon arrival.
- Rotates guest seating appropriately around the restaurant
- Maps out large parties using Party Guide
- Manages wait list and quotes times,
- Records all guest information accurately into reservation system
- Takes and Manage reservation arrivals for minimum wait time
- Seats guests based on guest preferences, adhering to the proper balancing of customer flow in service stations.
- Accommodates special seating requests for guests whenever possible.
- Upon seating, be sure to place out proper silverware count, offer guests a menu and inform them of their server’s name and provide water service if Server need support.
- Inspect table for proper presentation and cleanliness.
- Relay messages to servers as needed. Always notify a manager of any guest complaints no matter the severity.
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
