Summary
A Q39 Dining Room Coordinator presents a positive first impression of the establishment’s friendliness, excellent service and high standards. A Dining Room Coordinator greets guests upon arrival, informs guests of their wait time, monitor waiting list, enter guest names into the reservation system, escort guest to their table, and manage phone calls. The Dining Room Coordinator also ensures that Q39 guests have an outstanding dining experience by providing quality customer service is provided by removing dinnerware from the table in a timely manner, cleaning FOH tables and serving stations, replenishing dining room supplies, and coordinating efforts with FOH team.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Plans and coordinates the flow of guests into the dining, patio and bar areas
- Ensure dining rooming and wait stations for service at the beginning of shift
- Greet and acknowledge incoming guests warmly and graciously upon arrival.
- Rotate guest seating appropriately around the restaurant
- Map out large parties using Party Guide
- Manage wait list and quotes times,
- Record all guest information accurately into reservation system
- Take and Manage reservation arrivals for minimum wait time
- Seat guests based on guest preferences, adhering to the proper balancing of customer flow in service stations.
- Thank guests as they leave and invite them to return.
- Contribute effectively to the FOH team to ensure a smooth an excellent guest experience.
- Accurately follow Q39 tip procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• 1 year experience at a full-service restaurant.
• Be able to physically carry dishes and glassware.
• Ability to work in fast paced environment while maintaining food and beverage preparation and service accuracy and interacting with guests and fellow team members.
• Demonstrate basic knowledge of restaurant service procedures and functions.
• Ability to communicate effectively with the public and other employees.
• Ability to maintain a positive attitude during peak busy times.
