What are the responsibilities and job description for the AutoCAD Drafter position at QAI Aerospace?
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented AutoCAD Drafter to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for creating and maintaining accurate and detailed technical drawings using AutoCAD software, collaborating with engineers, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Translating rough sketches, specifications, and calculations from engineers and technicians into precise drawings.
- Ensuring drawings comply with industry standards, QAI Standards, and project specifications.
- Proficient in AutoCAD Lt 2 Dimensional drawings.
- Proficient in structural, electrical, and fabrication drawings.
- Must be available to report to work in person Monday through Friday as well as meet occasional weekend requirements.
- Must be capable of commuting to both worksites.
Education and Experience:
- Aviation background recommend, but not required.
- Must possess excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- At least two years of experience using AutoCAD, Revit, SolidWorks, and other relevant CAD software preferred.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.

QAI Aviation is an FAA certified repair station that has the capabilities to complete avionics installations, upgrades, maintenance and repairs for both fixed wing and rotor wing aircrafts.
