Ramadan Seasonal Barista Position (Potential For Permanent Role) at Qamaria Coffee - VA

Qamaria Coffee celebrates the rich history of Yemeni coffee culture, offering authentic traditional Yemeni coffee and tea beverages to the community. Historians trace the harvest of coffee beans to the surrounding countries of Yemen, but most agree that it was the Yemenites who first brewed it to drink.

We are currently hiring for a seasonal barista position during Ramadan, with the possibility of transitioning into a permanent role based on performance and availability. Candidates must be available to work late-night shifts until 2:30 AM to accommodate extended Ramadan hours.

Responsibilities:

• Welcome customers and determine their coffee preferences while handling orders and transactions at the register.
• Educate customers about the menu, ingredients, and traditional Yemeni brewing methods.
• Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including Yemeni traditional coffee, espresso-based drinks, and smoothies, following established recipes.
• Maintain inventory by restocking coffee beans, brewing supplies, and pastries.
• Ensure equipment functions properly by following training and performing basic maintenance.
• Maintain a clean and sanitary work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist with dishwashing and maintaining an organized workspace.
• Enhance customer experience by providing excellent service and ensuring the store maintains a welcoming atmosphere.

Requirements:

• Availability to work late-night shifts until 2:30 AM during Ramadan.
• No prior experience required, but barista experience is preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service.
