Working in a busy team environment, your new position as a Load Control Officer will see you responsible for planning, coordinating and producing all aircraft loading, weight and balance documentation in accordance with Company and Client airline specifications for passengers, cargo and fuel requirements. In this safety critical role, you will ensure the safe distribution of the load while maximising available cargo space within aircraft. You’ll have – Ability to work shift work on a 7-day rotating roster Extensive knowledge and background of working in an airport operational environment. Experience of working in airport operations, logistics, air freight within airlines preferred A high degree of personal organisation, proven ability to prioritise time and workload and self-motivated High attention to detail Ability to maintain a calm disposition whilst working within a high-pressure environment to achieve tight deadlines. Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Ability to think analytically and mathematically Experience of using systems such as first bag, altea, ramp and baggage systems beneficial Proven problem-solving capabilities and ability to handle high pressure situations, conflict resolution skills Ability to interact constructively and consistently with team members, other departments and external customers, of all levels. Demonstrated ability to adapt to changes in timeframes and environment or circumstances Working knowledge of the FM system & Manual Load Plans or willing to undertake this training Dangerous Goods Awareness certification or willingness to undertake this training Why Qantas?
